Planting Flowers and Trees

May 2019 saw groups of Charleston Rotary members involved in two major planting projects.  On Saturday morning of Memorial Day Weekend, a group of Rotary members assembled for tilling, planting and mulching to get the Lincoln Avenue Rotary flower plot going.  And then on Friday, May 31, a second group of Rotary naturalists gathered at the 6th Street Trailhead to plant trees for the Rotary District Grant-supported  partnership with the City of Charleston.  And following these initial gardening activities, club members have assembled on a regular basis for needed plant maintenance and nurturing support–e.g., the groups of Rotary members who assemble on Friday mornings at the Rotary Trailhead for tree-watering duties.
